Colorado Association of Science Teachers Awards

American Vacuum Society Awards
For Excellence in Science Education
CAST and the AVS offer awards for excellence in promoting science education in the state of Colorado. The awards are presented each year at the Colorado Science Conference, in November, in the amount of $500 each. A CAST Award and an AVS Award is selected at each of three levels: Elementary, Middle School, High School, and two CAST awards are selected at the College/Informal level. To be eligible for the CAST award you must be a CAST member in good standing. You do not need to be a CAST member to receive the AVS award. To be eligible for both awards you must be currently teaching science in a Colorado school (nominees for the College/Informal do not have to be teaching, but must be involved in science education in Colorado).
